Markham District Veterans Association will be observing Remembrance Day on Saturday, Nov. 9.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Markham District Veterans Association (7 Washington St., Markham) in the Upper Hall. The public is invited to arrive by 9:15am and the service will start at 9:30am

 

Following the service, the Remembrance Day Parade will march up to the Markham Village Veterans Square and Cenotaph (6031 Hwy 7 E, Markham) for the 11 a.m. ceremony and laying of the wreaths.

 

The parade will return to the Veterans Hall following the ceremony at the Cenotaph.


Please be advised that Main St Markham, from Hwy 7 to Centre St, Washington St from Highway 7 to Centre St and Centre St from Washington to Main St Markham, will be closed on Saturday Nov 09^th; 10:00 am to 12:30 pm, for the Markham District Veteran’s Association Remembrance Day Parade.
